Conducting a thorough Mould investigation Webinar

Interview with Brian Murphy

Phill, CEO of CARSI, met with Brian Murphy, COH and Managing Director of EHS ASSES.

EHS ASSES is an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Risk Management company, specialising in Occupational Hygiene, based in Melbourne, Victoria.

They have a broad range of clients, including restorers, insurers, and facility managers, but they primarily specialize in water damage and Mould, and most of their work comes from the insurance industry.

Brian, who holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry and postgraduate and master’s degrees in occupational hygiene, introduces you to the early-stage data gathering and risk assessment process for water damage. He emphasizes the importance of establishing certain factors for each job, regardless of its size. Brian also discusses the relevant laws and regulations and explains the guidelines outlined in documents s500 and s520. He helps you understand the critical aspects of risk assessments, such as water categories, event duration, status, and potential health and safety hazards.

”As a hygienist that’s one of the biggest challenges we face — interpretation of the results and the context of the environment they are taken in.”
